先週から連絡が来なかった先輩からOKの返事が来た。
I got approval for my request to see my senior who didn’t read my message last week.
というのも、先週は家族旅行に行っていて、ケータイは放置プレーだったとのこと。
He explained to me that he had left his cell phone while he was on a family trip.
てっきり、ケータイをロストしてしまったのかと思っていたが、そんなことはなかった。
I thought that he might have lost his phone, but he didn’t.
ということで、同窓会の日に会いにいくことに。
So, I will see him on the same day as my reunion party that is being held in Tokyo.
せっかくなので、18きっぷでいこうと思っているが、それならもっと電車に乗りたいと思い、同窓会は不参加にしてもらった。
To reduce my expenses, I will use a railway free pass which is called “Seishun 18 Kippu”. The rail pass is a ticket for unlimited hop-on & hop-off travel using non-reserved seats on ordinary trains. Since I want to ride trains more to plan my ideas on this day, I cancelled attending the reunion.
彼らとバカ騒ぎもいいけど、いまは電車に乗りたい。
Currently, I want to catch trains more than having a really good time with my schoolmates.
