これまで遠慮してあまり話しかけずに来ていたが、さすがに仕事の進め方だったり、データの保管場所がわからなかったりするので、話しかけるようにした。
I have been refraining from talking to my colleagues since I was new. However, it took a lot of time to understand the role of the work and to find the documents I wanted to check, so I had to send chat messages to my colleagues.
まずは、朝一に行われた会議での疑問点を会議後に主催者に連絡して教えてもらった。
First of all, I asked a facilitator of the meeting held first thing in the morning to teach me the questions I should ask.
また、午後には別の人にも声をかけて昨日の引継ぎでの仕事についての意見をもらった。
And I also requested that the person who handed tasks over yesterday have a video chat with me.
こちらから声をかけると、ほぼ初対面にも関わらず、みんな優しく教えてくれたので、もっと早くから声をかけるべきだったと後悔した。
They both taught me and were so kind even though this was the first time talking with them properly. I regretted that I hadn’t talked to them earlier.
