Demand to Correct English Sentences

上司から急ぎの英訳チェックの依頼を受けた。

I got an urgent task from my boss and it was to correct English sentences.

　

内容は海外の顧客への質問文。

The contents were for questionnaires for an overseas client.

　

出来はというと、ヒドイものであった。

The quality of the questionnaires were terrible.

　

私と同じ海外事業部のメンバーが作ったものであったが、ハッキリいって問題外。

The person who wrote the questionnaires is in the same department as me but frankly he is incompetent at writing.

　

終業直前までに一通り添削をして返送した。

I finished just before my finish time and corrected all the sentences without overtime.

　

これをやって思ったのは、英文チェックは需要があるということ。

Now I know that there is a demand to correct English sentences in my company.

　

技術は好きではないので、がんばっても周りの先輩に勝ることができないが、英語ならできると思った。

Since I don’t like studying electricity, I don’t think I have more knowledge about it than my colleagues. But I think I can do it with my English skills.
