今日は誕生日。
It’s my birthday today.
普段であれば、外食へ行くところであるが、今年はコロナがあるのでパス。
Even though I usually eat out on the day, we didn’t do it this year because we have a child.
その代わりに、妻がチャーシューを作ってくれた。
My wife made char-siu pork (pork stewed in soysauce) for me instead.
晩ごはんに食べたが、非常においしかった。
We ate it with noodles as char-siu men and it was so tasty.
妻は、ちょっと硬くなったのが気に入らなかったようだが、わたしはこのぐらい肉肉しい方が好きなので良かった。
She didn’t like it because the pork was a little chewy. I like such tough, chewy meat so it’s no problem for me.
