久しぶりに子供とゴーカートへ行ってきた。GT-Rを手放して以来、ほとんど行かなくなっていたので、ホントに久しぶり。
I went to the park near my apartment with my son to ride the go-karts. Since selling my GT-R, we haven’t visited this park, so it was our first time in a while.
というのも、歩いていくにはちょっと遠いので、クルマを手放して以降、歩いていけるところや、電車に乗って遊びにいくのがメインになっていた。
Because the park is a bit far from our apartment and it’s a little difficult to get there on foot with him, we usually go to places we can reach by train or on foot.
今日は、この後、妻の実家に行く用事があったので、クルマを借りる予定があってのゴーカート。
But today, since we had to rent a car for some errands, we were able to go by car for the first time in a while.
以前は、GT-Rがあるころはとても暑かったし、その後は冬になって寒かったので、子供も行きたがらなかった。けど、天気が良くかなり暖かいので、公園で遊ぶのに適している。
The last time we visited by GT-R, it was during the hot summer season. In the winter, my son didn’t want to ride the go-karts because it was too cold. But now that it’s been sunny and warm lately, it was perfect weather for spending time at the park.
よい天候のおかげで、たくさんの子供が遊んでいた。5回まで無料で乗れるはずが、4回で並ぶのに疲れてしまった。久しぶりのゴーカートにも関わらず、子供が自分で積極的にハンドルを切っていたことには驚いた。運転に関しても、少しずつ理解しているようだ。
Going today turned out to be the right decision—there were lots of kids at the park when we arrived. Even though we had five free go-kart rides available, the line was so long that we only ended up riding four times before getting too tired. This was actually my son’s first time driving a go-kart, but he understood what to do behind the wheel right away. I was surprised to see him actively turning the steering wheel—it seems like he’s starting to grasp how driving works!
