３ヶ月に１度の歯科検診。
We went to the dental clinic for our quarterly regular check-up.
今回もとくに異常なし。ここ最近の出張により、はみがきがおろそかになり、歯肉炎ができていたけど、タイミングよくきれいにしてもらえたので助かった。
None of us had any issues, which was a relief. It was perfect timing for me because my brushing had been sloppy due to frequent business trips, so I was happy to get my teeth cleaned.
そのあとは、いつも通りに実家へ。連絡が前日になってしまったけど、今回もそばを用意してくれ、妹家族も集まった。子供たちは父が作ったそばを一生懸命に食べていて、とても微笑ましい光景で、楽しい家族団らんに。
After the check-up, we went to my parents’ house as usual. Even though we had told them yesterday that we would visit, they still prepared Japanese soba as they always do. My sister’s family also came over, and both of our children ate my father’s soba seriously, which made me really happy. It was a very pleasant time.
その後は、近くの公園に行っての自転車の練習へ。妹家族もうちと同じものを持っていたので、お互いに遊ばせながらの午後のひと時。
After lunch, we all went to a nearby park so the kids could practice riding their bicycles. Since my niece has the same type of bike, they practiced together.
特別なことは何もなくても楽しい時間は過ごせる。お金を使うばかりが幸せではない。楽しい仕事をしながら、家族との時間を過ごせるのが何よりにも代えがたい幸せではないだろうか。
Even though there were no special events, we had a great time. Joy doesn’t always require spending money. Working with reliable people while also being with my family—this is what makes me truly happy.
