妻の誕生日なので、オフィスの近くにある高級チョコレート屋さん、カカオサンパカに行って誕生日プレゼントを買ってきた。
Since it was my wife’s birthday today, I went to a luxury chocolate shop near my office called Cacao Sampaka to pick up her birthday present.
前回、四国の先輩に買っていったもの、相場観は予めわかっていたので、予算は１万円に設定。チョコレートにこんな高額の予算を設定しても、買って帰れるのは、ホントに少しである。
This was my second time visiting the shop; the first time was when I bought chocolates for my former senior during a business trip to Shikoku. So, I was familiar with their price range, and my budget for today was 10,000 yen. Although this was quite a large budget for chocolates, it allowed me to pick up a few different ones.
この前、先輩に買っていったカカオ100%のチョコは購入できた。正直、これが欲しくて買いに来たようなもの。あとは、妻の好きなビターのチョコレートを予算いっぱいまで購入。それでも、20粒には満たない量。
I was able to get the 100% cacao chocolate I bought for my senior last time. Honestly, that chocolate was the main reason I came here today. I also bought some bitter chocolate within the budget, which my wife loves. In the end, I got fewer than 20 pieces, even though I spent 10,000 yen.
こんなん、今回のような誕生日や記念日でもない限り、絶対に買わない。だからこそ、今日買えてよかった。来年は、もっといいものが買えるように努力する。
I will never get such super luxury chocolates except for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries, so I felt relieved to buy them. Now, I’m going to focus on earning more money so I can get better gifts for her.
