先日の丸亀製麵での食事後、ヘルメットを買いに近くのホームセンターへ。
After lunch at Marugame-seimen, we went to a home improvement center to get a helmet for my son yesterday.
天気が良かったので、ちょうどいい腹ごなしになった。ただ、少し甘いものが食べたくなった２人。
Since it was sunny, it made for a nice walk to the store. When we arrived, both of us were craving something sweet.
併設されているホットスナックコーナーで甘いものを探すも、ソフトクリームしかない。日差しがあるとはいえ、さすがに寒い。店内をふらふらしていると、青果売り場で焼き芋を発見。子供にも確認し、焼き芋を買うことで合意。
Although we checked out the menu at the food stand next to the store, they only sold soft-serve ice cream. It was sunny, but not the right day for ice cream outdoors. We wandered through the store’s produce section and found baked sweet potatoes. My son agreed to buy one.
スーパーで売っている焼き芋よりもずっと大きく、お昼を食べた後のお腹にはちょっと多いくらい。それでも味はとてもおいしく、結局２人で奪い合って食べてしまった。
The baked sweet potato was larger than the ones sold at the supermarket we usually visit, and it was more than enough for us to share. The taste was great, and we finished it in just a few minutes.
そのせいもあってか、ヘルメットを買って帰り、そのまま自転車に乗りに行こうと出かけるも途中で眠いということで断念。ヘルメットを被っての自転車の練習は翌週に持ち越しになった。
After that, we picked up the helmet, headed back home, and planned to go to the park to practice riding bicycles. However, on the way to the park, my son decided he was too sleepy. So, the practice with his new helmet was postponed until next week.
