子供と電車を見に行った後、自宅で自転車を持って近くの公園へ練習に行ってきた。
After watching trains, I went to the park near my apartment with my son to practice riding his bicycle.
寒かったけど、日差しがあったので、そこまで寒くはない、練習日和になった。
Even though it was a bit cold outside, the weather was sunny, making it a great day for practice.
広い公園に、あまり人もいなかったので、いい練習の機会。ほんの少しの坂もあり、まだ自分でペダルをこげない子供にとってはちょうどいい感じの練習スポットも見つけた。
Since the park wasn’t crowded, he was able to pedal freely. We discovered a gentle slope, which was a perfect spot for practice since he still isn’t able to pedal on his own.
スロープで何回も練習する中で、不安定になり転びそうになる場面が度々あった。なので、今度はヘルメットを買いに行こうと思う。
While practicing on the slope, he almost fell a few times due to losing his balance, so I realized I need to buy him a helmet.
膝当てなどは着けないと思うが、ヘルメットは万が一があるので、着けてもらいたい。今一番下手な時期だからこそ、しっかり安全対策をして練習してもらいたい。
Although knee and elbow guards might also be useful, I doubt he’d want to wear them. However, a helmet is essential to protect his head just in case. Right now, he’s at the most challenging stage of learning to ride a bike. I just hope he’ll agree to wear some protective gear for his own safety.
