I’m Going on a Business Trip to the Tohoku Region

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

I’m going on a business trip to the Tohoku region. Since opportunities for business trips have decreased recently, I arranged this one for somewhat flimsy reasons. The main purpose of this trip, honestly, was to catch up with old friends.

Today, I had drinks with some of my former company’s stakeholders.

They suggested I study for and obtain the Chief Electrical Engineer certification. Their advice was to work toward it while my current job is relatively unchallenging.

As they said, it’s a no-brainer—I don’t stand to lose anything by giving it a shot. If I stay in this industry, the certification would be a valuable asset. And if my future goes as I hope, I might need to remain in an office job longer than originally planned, making this certification even more worthwhile for my career.

Ultimately, this might be the push I need to make up my mind. There are senior colleagues who already have this certification and are willing to guide me through the process, which is a great advantage. I’ve decided to give it a try and will study a little every day to make steady progress.

To be continued.
