You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I went to a shisha bar with a former colleague from my previous company who had worked with me in Egypt.
It was our first time smoking shisha together in Tokyo, and I was pretty excited about it. I initially thought the bar wouldn’t be too crowded, but that wasn’t the case. Thankfully, I made the right decision to make a reservation.
There were so many flavors of shisha to choose from. I went with lemon-mint, and he ordered apple.
Both flavors brought back memories of our time in Egypt. The taste was exactly the same as what we remembered from Egypt, but the only difference was that in Japan, the flavor lasted so long. Also, the all-you-can-drink service was fantastic.
However, it was quite pricey. We stayed for two hours and ended up paying 3,500 yen each. On the plus side, you’re allowed to bring your own food into the bar. I brought some potato chips and Oreo cookies, but we noticed one of the other customers had brought a whole container full of chips! Next time I visit, I’ll definitely bring more food.
To be continued.
