リベシティにて転職オフ会を開催してきた。
I held a job change meet-up at the Libe City Shimbashi Office today.
今回の参加者は４名。午後の開催で、場所取りができてなかったので、どうしようか迷っていると、ちょうどオフ会が終わって解散したところがあったので、その場所を使えた。
There were four attendees in total. Since I organized the meet-up in the afternoon, I couldn’t reserve a spot in advance. When I arrived at the office, I wasn’t sure what to do. Fortunately, a meet-up in front of me had just finished, and I was able to secure the spot by asking the host.
参加者が誰もいない中で、リベシティ内での友人が場所取りに協力してくれたのも大きい。
Before my meet-up began, there were no attendees in the Office. While I was waiting, a friend from Libe City helped me by securing the spot for me.
偶然にも海外、もしくは外資系企業でお仕事されていた人が集まり、外資転職の色が強く出た楽しい会になった。転職したことがない人に１から教えるのもいいけど、こうして経験者、しかも外資系企業で働いている人と交流ができるのはとても嬉しい。
Coincidentally, all of today’s attendees had experience working either in foreign affairs or overseas, which made for some very enjoyable discussions about job changes, especially regarding moving to foreign affairs roles. While I usually enjoy teaching people who are new to job changes, talking with those familiar with international work was much more fun.
会が始まる寸前まで、開催を後悔していたけど、やってよかった。今後も継続して実施していきたい。って、いつも終わりに思うけど、次のときには迷うんだよね。それが自分の中で嫌な部分かな。
Up until just before the meet-up, I was regretting my decision to hold it, but now I’m glad I did. I plan to hold meet-ups regularly from now on. Although I often have similar feelings of doubt before events, I don’t want that to stop me from organizing them. I recognize that this indecision is a weakness of mine.
