今日は、前の会社でお世話になったオフィスマネージャーのところにお邪魔し、オフィス引っ越しのイロハを学んできた。
I visited my former coworker’s office with my assistant to discuss the basics of their office relocation.
まずは、彼女のオフィスを覗かせてもらった。ガラス張りの会議室に、会社のロゴをあしらい、とても洗練されたオフィスになっていた。また、ビバレッジも充実させながらも、普段のランニングにかかる労力は最小限にしてあって、とても素晴らしい。
First, we toured the office. It has a beautiful glazed meeting room with their company logo, and the rest of the space is really sophisticated. The beverage selection for employees is extensive, and she’s already streamlined their supplement offerings by subcontracting—very impressive.
執務室にも、社長室や電話ブースがあり、とても仕事がしやすい環境だと思った。
Their workspace includes a president’s room and telephone booths, making the office look very comfortable for work.
オフィスにお邪魔した後は、いっしょにランチに行ってきた。近くのパスタ屋での食事。久しぶりに外で食べたけど、やはり、パスタはあまり外で食べるものではないかなと。
After the office tour, we all had lunch at an Italian restaurant nearby. Although it was my first time having pasta at a restaurant in a while, I didn’t find it worth the price.
食事はあまりよくなかったけど、信頼できる仲間と食べられてとても充実した時間になった。また彼女といっしょに仕事ができることを楽しみにしている。今回のオフィス移転も含めて、早くから彼女が参画してくれることを期待する。
While I wasn’t satisfied with the food, I was very happy with the time spent with my reliable former colleague. I’m looking forward to working with her again and hope she can join our team early in the office relocation process.
