午後の作業をいつも通り駅の待合室でこなし、帰ろうとすると改札が通れなかった。
I wasn’t able to go through the ticket gate after doing my side hustles in the waiting room at my station, as per my routine.
駅員に確認すると、長時間滞在のため弾かれてしまったらしい。定期券では入場券の役割を持たないため、どこかの駅で一旦出場する必要があると教えてくれた。
A station staff member informed me that I had stayed inside the ticket gates for too long. He warned me that the commuter pass doesn’t function as an entrance pass, so I had to exit through a ticket gate at another station.
入場券の機能を持たないことを初めて知った。昔は、大丈夫だったように思うけど、今は違うのであれば、覚えておこう。
I didn’t know that the commuter pass doesn’t have the entrance pass function. I think the rule might have changed. Anyway, what I learned today is the current rule, and I will keep it in mind.
次回からは、２時間以内に一度改札を抜けて、また戻るか、それとも新幹線内で作業するか。たしかに、新幹線の中のほうが集中できるから、ありかもしれない。
When I’m going to do my side hustles using my commuter pass, I’ll make sure to leave the ticket gate within 2 hours or do them on the Shinkansen. It might be better to do my side hustles on the Shinkansen since I can focus better.
いずれにしても、今日のことは覚えておきたい。300円を払っての勉強である。
Anyway, I’ll keep this in mind. I learned the lesson by spending 300 yen.
