PMPをとった友人の記事を読んでの感想。
Today’s topic is my feelings after reading a post about my friend when she got certified as a Project Management Professional.
PMBOKを読んでの第一印象だったり、毎朝4時起きされていたりと、わたしと共通点が多く、すごく共感できた。
Since we have a lot in common, such as our first impressions after reading PMBOK and getting up at 4 a.m., I was able to empathize with her.
受験までに必要なコストも、その方が支払ったものが細かく記載されていて、とてもわかりやすい。
The post also mentioned the costs associated with taking the exam, along with the actual expenses she incurred, making it very easy to read.
しかし、いまは受けている時間がない、というのが正直な感想。それに、そこまでのコストと時間をかける価値があるのかが疑問。
However, honestly, I don’t have the time to take the exam right now. Moreover, I question the value of the certification and whether it is worth spending the necessary time and money.
たしかに資格は大事。だけれども、もっと大事なものは、その人が何をできるか、ということ。雇われるのがゴールではない。いまの外資系企業しかり、今後のフリーランスしかり、求められる成果を出せるかがポイントだと思う。資格は、困ったときの頼みの綱として、まずは経験を増やしたい。
I know that the certification can be beneficial, but what’s more important is what one can produce for the team. Getting an offer letter is not the goal. Creating achievements that meet the team’s or company’s demands is the most important, especially when working in foreign affairs or as a freelancer. I’m going to increase my experience by working at the company and keep the certification as a backup plan.
