今日から正式に入社になる。そして、わたしが紹介したアシスタントの勤務も今日から開始となる。これでまた、新しい会社での勤務が楽しみになる。
Today was the day I officially joined my fourth company. Also, the assistant I invited started working on the same day, making the prospect of working here even more exciting.
ということで、今日は開発チームでランチに行ってきた。場所はウルフギャング・ステーキハウス。
To celebrate, we had lunch with her and our project development team at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse.
もともと、夜に歓迎会を予定していたけれども、メンバーの体調不良により延期になったしまったため、昼からステーキに。
Originally, we planned to have drinks with the same group after work, but some of us were sick, so we postponed it and opted for the steakhouse instead.
熟成肉で超有名なお店。ランチの値段も破格で、たしかにどれもおいしかった。けれども、また食べたいかといわれると、ちょっと微妙。
The restaurant is renowned for its aged beef, and the price of the lunch course was quite high. Although I love aged beef, I wouldn’t be able to say yes if asked whether I want to go to that restaurant again.
ステーキしかり、お寿司しかり、おいしいからといって高級なものを頻繁に食べたいとは思わない。やはり、わたしはラーメンがなによりも好き。それこそ、ラーメン屋まで何時間も歩いていくくらいで、食べ終わった後の多幸感は、今回のステーキ以上である。食の好みは人それぞれ。決して悪いことではない。
I don’t want to eat luxury dishes like steak or sushi frequently, even though I know they taste great. I love noodles the most, which is why I’m willing to walk a long distance to get to a ramen shop. For me, the euphoria after eating noodles is higher than after eating today’s steak. People have their food preferences, and each to their own. My food preference isn’t a bad thing.
