せっかくGT-Rを買ったのなら、GT-Rオーナーにしかできないことがしたい。
Since I was able to buy the GT-R, I want to experience things that are exclusive to GT-R owners.
もちろん、普通に公道を走るだけでも十分に楽しいのだが、オーナーにしかできないことがあるはず。それを見つけて実行したい。
Of course, just driving the GT-R is enjoyable, but I believe there are events specifically for GT-R owners that I want to find and try out.
これまで、家族でドライブして、家族写真を撮ってと、家族でのイベントに使ってきた。でも、これらは、別にGT-Rでなくてもできる。売却したときに後悔しないようにしたい。
I’ve been using the GT-R for family activities like driving and taking family pictures, but these are things we could do without a GT-R. I don’t want to regret missing opportunities unique to owning a GT-R when the time comes to sell it.
というのも、モノではなく経験にお金を使いたいと思い始めている。GT-Rを所有するのにかかるコストが見合っているかを考えたとき、やはり、コストのほうが上回っていると感じる。
The reason I think this way is that I want to spend my money on experiences, not just on buying things. When I consider the cost performance of owning a GT-R, it feels low because the costs are high compared to the experiences it provides.
それに多くの人がいうように、モノにお金をかけても飽きてしまう、というのはホントだなとも思う。正直、GT-Rを買った時よりも、興奮は少しではあるが確実に下がっている。その一方で、四季島に対する思いはあまり変わっていない。やはり、経験にお金を使うべきかなと、実体験から感じた。
Additionally, I realize that it’s true what people say about getting tired of even luxury items. Honestly, my excitement for the GT-R has decreased since I first got it. On the other hand, my interest in the cruise train Shiki-shima hasn’t waned at all. This has taught me that I should spend my money on experiences for my family rather than just on possessions.
