You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I had a meeting with my senior who I met during the interview for my first job change.
Exactly one year ago today, I introduced him to my previous company’s branch manager. Unfortunately, we couldn’t establish any business and my senior was in a bad mood due to the branch manager’s attitude.
This time, I couldn’t afford to make any mistakes, so I made the necessary preparations in advance to build consensus. Both my current country manager and my senior had a better impression than I expected. I believe we will be able to do some business together.
This was my last chance to introduce my senior to others, and I wouldn’t have been able to contact him again if I failed this time. Fortunately, I was able to secure a successful outcome.
From this experience, I learned that preparation is the most important aspect of any endeavor. Reflecting on the last time at my previous company, I realize that I didn’t prepare enough. This time, however, I considered the collaboration between my company and my senior’s company in advance, discussed my opinions with my manager, and confirmed the manager’s consensus. I believe my preparation led to our success.
To be continued.
