本国から執行役員が来日したので、新しい会社で初めての飲み会。
Since the executive from the HQ in the home country came to the Japan branch, we had drinks with all the members.
役員の方々は、当日夜便での出国というので、一次会で解散し、お店からホームまで案内し、お見送りをしてきた。
Because they were leaving Japan on a late-night flight, we ended the main party. I escorted them from the restaurant to the platform for the train heading to the airport.
その後、残った日本人だけで銀座のバーに繰り出した。この判断がマズかった。役員をお見送りした後、サクッと帰ってしまえばよかった。
After that, I rejoined the group, and we visited a bar in Ginza. This decision was a mistake. After sending off the executives, I should have gone back home.
銀座のバーに繰り出すも、１軒目では満足できずに２軒目へ。挙げ句の果には、３軒目で軽く食事をした後、４軒目まで行ってしまい、結果してオールになってしまった。
Even though we went to the bar in Ginza, we moved to a second bar because we weren’t satisfied. As a result, we had some dishes at a third restaurant, moved to a fourth bar, and ended up staying out all night.
いや、スゲー散財した。楽しかったのはよかったけど、もういいかなと。飲み代はいくらあっても足りないし、ぶっちゃけ満足度も低い。であれば、もっと違うことにお金を使いたい。今日のは１つの経験と戒めとして書き留めておく。
We spent a lot of money in just one night. Although we enjoyed drinking, I realize now that I don’t need to do it again. The cost of drinking is endless, and the satisfaction relative to the expense is honestly low. Therefore, I want to spend my money on other things. Today’s experience was a lesson, and I’m writing it down in my diary for the future.
