This was my first time eating noodles at Yamaoka-ya in a while.
I really got back into the shop’s noodles after eating there with a colleague in Hokkaido in February. While browsing their menu on the website, I discovered that their dipping noodles are served without vinegar, and I’ve always wanted to try them.
Finally, I got the chance today. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about the cost since it would be reimbursed by my company as this was the day after my business trip.
I ordered the dipping noodles with a variety of toppings: an extra portion of noodles, green onion, seaweed, and a boiled egg. I was fully satisfied with the meal, especially the extra portion of green onion, which made me the happiest.
The only disappointing thing was that this was my first time ordering dipping noodles with a richer taste, and honestly, the taste was too strong. It might be because of the dipping noodles. Due to this, I couldn’t taste the garlic no matter how much I added. Next time, I’ll try the noodles with the original taste intensity.
To be continued.
