今日は、笑顔を絶やさず振る舞う誠実さを持つ、女性クルーのお話。
Today’s topic is a female train crew member who demonstrated honesty with a continuous smile.
かなり若そうに見える彼女は、四季島への乗務がまだ慣れてない様子、いろいろ質問しても、他クルーに確認することが多く、少々頼りない印象を持った。
She appeared quite young compared to the other crew members and seemed a bit unsure of her role on the cruise train. She often had to confirm my questions with other crew members before answering, which made her seem a bit unreliable at first.
けれども、真摯に対応してくれたし、なにより、回答を伝えた後、わたしにちゃんと確認してくれたのがよかった。
However, she always responded sincerely. Furthermore, she would follow up with me after answering my questions to ensure everything was resolved to my satisfaction.
例えば、電車の入線を待っているとき、どちらから来るかを確認、わたしが撮影した後、ちゃんと見られたかを聞いてくれたので、とても丁寧な対応だった。
For example, I asked her which direction the cruise train would arrive while we were waiting on the platform. Based on her reply, I took pictures at the end of the platform. Afterward, she checked with me to see if I managed to take my pictures, which I found very considerate.
回答を投げっぱなしではなく、その後のフォローも忘れない。サービス業ならではの気遣い。ここは、わたしも見習いたい。
Her approach of not just answering questions but also following up afterward is a unique practice from the hospitality industry that I want to learn and adopt.
