Transitioning to New Horizons: Reflecting on the Conclusion of My Job Application Journey

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

My job application process with the company I applied to was concluded today as the interview with the president was eventually canceled.

Since this was a referral case, the president delegated the decision-making authority to the Japanese branch manager.

This marks the end of my third job application journey. Although I have achieved an increase in annual income, this has been the highest increase compared to previous job changes. Additionally, my reliable colleague will be my new boss at the new company, and the new office is directly connected to Tokyo Station.

Since my new role will not change drastically, I don’t feel much stress about this job change. I’m looking forward to starting work at the new company.

My remaining tasks at the current company are only to report my resignation to my current country manager and to inform the local stakeholders of my departure. I feel a bit sad about leaving the city where I was able to build relationships, as this was my first time developing projects on my own. However, I’m excited about creating new connections with stakeholders at other sites.

To be continued.
