先日の出張にて、いっしょに行った友人が転職する会社に誘われたことについてずっと考えている。
I’ve been contemplating the invitation from my colleague, who is transitioning to another company, to join him in his new role during our last business trip.
働くメンバーは、とても重要なので、彼といっしょに仕事ができれば、ホントに楽しいと思う。それに、収入の大幅アップも間違いない。
Choosing whom I work with is crucial to me, and I’m confident that working alongside him would be satisfying. Additionally, it would lead to a significant increase in my annual income.
しかし、彼が転職するのは、同じ再生可能エネルギー分野でも風力発電関連ではない。それと、開発関連であるということ。
However, there’s one concern: while he’ll be in the renewable energy sector at his new company, the focus won’t be on wind farms, and my new role will be in development.
将来のことを考えるとやはり風力をやりたいし、海外でも通用できる能力をと考えると、やはり建設工事をマネジメントするほうが、絶対に将来の役に立つ。
Considering future trends, I’m truly passionate about working in the wind turbine industry and aspire to become a construction project manager as part of my goal to work abroad again. I believe this path aligns well with my aspirations.
将来への可能性をとるか、お金をとるか、迷いどころである。ただ、普通の人と異なるのは、FIREが目前であるということ。そもそもFIREしてしまえば、再生可能エネルギー分野は離れてしまう。であれば、お金を優先してもいいのではないか、とも思う。
I find myself torn between the potential for achieving my long-term goals and maximizing my annual income. It’s a difficult decision to make. However, I have a unique circumstance in that my Financial Independence, Retire Early (FIRE) goal is within reach. Once I achieve FIRE, I plan to leave the industry regardless. With this perspective in mind, I believe prioritizing the maximization of my annual income is the most prudent choice for now.
