Turning Tides: Embracing Change in Career Paths

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Yesterday, my colleague and I arrived at the station after a delay of over 2 hours. This meant that the Green Car ticket would be refunded, and I was able to enjoy the luxurious seat free of charge.

After our site visit, we went for drinks. Just as I was looking forward to the conversation with someone I’ve been eager to connect with, he dropped a bombshell: he had received a job offer right after our toast. He had even received the offer letter just before our meeting.

I struggled to comprehend his sudden revelation, especially given the unrealistic expectations set from the beginning. While I’ve also been contemplating a job change, he seemed to leapfrog me.

Fortunately, he intends to accept the offer. With this revelation, I’ve made a decision for myself. I am going to focus on my job change more seriously, regardless of which company I move to.

The upcoming circumstances, especially without the presence of my reliable colleague and the supportive teacher who has been instrumental in my project, leave me with little reason to stay. I eagerly await my offer letter.

To be continued.
