ケータイに知らない番号から２度電話が。とりあえず折り返してみると、四季島の受付デスクからの電話だった。
I received two anonymous phone calls today. Although I didn’t recognize the numbers, I decided to call back, and it turned out to be the reception desk for the cruise train Shikishima.
話を聞くと、４月の日程にキャンセルが出たので、その分の繰り上げ当選とのこと。参加できるかを翌日までに回答してほしいと言われた。
They informed me that I had won tickets due to a cancellation on the tour in April and requested that I confirm my availability for the tour by tomorrow. Excitedly, I shared the news with my mother, who gave her approval.
ということで、その後すぐに両親に連絡して参加できるかを確認してもらった。結果はオーケー。明日、先方から確認の連絡が来ることになっているので、そのときに回答する。
I plan to respond tomorrow, confirming our availability for the cruise when they call to confirm.
にしても、一度は諦めたものがこうしてやってきてくれるのは、とてもうれしい。もし、お金や時間がないと参加できなかったので、それらを準備しておいたのも大きい。お金ってホントに大事だなと改めて思った。
Winning this event, especially after previously giving up hope, brought me immense joy. However, I realize that attending the cruise will require both time and money. Nevertheless, these considerations bring positive news, as they highlight the importance of financial preparedness for living a life of freedom.
