昨夜は、PJサイトで仲良くなった先生と２人でのささやかな新年会をしてきた。
I had a small New Year’s party with my friend who lives in the same city as my project site.
先生のオススメ、焼き鳥のウマい店での飲み会。メッチャ盛り上がった～！１か月ぶりの再会、訛りがきつすぎてほとんどなに言ってるかわからない焼き鳥屋のマスターもいて、楽しい焼き鳥になった。
We went to a shop that serves incredibly delicious and reasonably priced yakitori, and our conversation flowed smoothly. It was our first meeting since the new year began, and even the shop owner, whose strong accent I usually struggle to understand, joined in our conversation. It was truly an enjoyable time spent together.
なにより、焼き鳥30本も食べたのに1,500円しか払わなかったのがスゴイ！ちょっと鶏肉はレア気味だったけど、それはご愛敬。
Despite indulging in 30 sets of yakitori, our total bill came to only 1,500 yen. Although some of the chicken was slightly undercooked, it added to the fun of the experience.
もちろん、焼き鳥の後はいつも通りのサウナへ。やっぱりここのサウナが一番イイ！
Afterwards, as is our custom, we headed to the sauna. I’ve come to realize that this sauna is perfect for me.
つめたーい水風呂が体を包む感じがサイコー！このサウナに入っている時だけは、クソな会社を忘れることができる。
There’s something incredibly refreshing about immersing myself in the cold bath, surrounded by icy water. It’s during moments like these, in the sauna and cold bath, that I’m able to momentarily forget about the frustrations of my job.
