今日は仕事始め。
Today is my first working day this year.
昨年末に支社長と確認したスケジュールをチームに向けて共有した。いくつか質問が出たけど、とくに困る質問ではなかったので、難なく終了。
I shared the newest schedule for my project with my colleagues, which I confirmed with my country manager. Although I received a few questions, all of them were manageable, and there were no major concerns. I was able to finish the meeting smoothly.
しかし、その後、出張解禁は、アジア統括部長に説明してからとするように支社長から指示があった。いろいろ反論したけど、結局意見は変わらず。
However, after the meeting, my country manager informed us that we would only be able to go on a business trip after confirming the schedule with the APAC manager in HQ. Even though I had a disagreement with him on this matter, I couldn’t change his decision.
この会社の流れを見ていると、説明し終わるまでに２月になってしまう可能性が濃厚。２月に年始の挨拶なんてするの、と疑問に思いつつも、それが会社の指示であるならば、従わざるを得ない。
Based on my experience in the company, the final confirmation is typically done in February. I’m concerned about whether it would be acceptable for the people in the project site if I delay the year-start greetings. Nevertheless, I have to follow the company’s current style.
早く出張できるように、なんとしても作業を進めたい。
To prepare for a potential business trip, I need to focus on upcoming tasks.
