昨日は出張初日。いつも通りリベシティ盛岡オフィスでの転職オフ会を予定していたけど、参加者が集まらなかったので、盛岡に転勤になった同窓に連絡して晩飯を一緒に食べた。
I began my business trip this week, with the initial plan of hosting a job change meet-up at the Liberal Arts City Morioka Office. However, as no one applied for my meet-up, I decided to reach out to one of my high school friends who had been transferred to his company’s Morioka branch.
同級生にして、すでに大企業の課長になっていた。この話を聞いて、もし前の会社に居続けていたら、とても惨めな思いをしていただろうと思った。
He has achieved the position of a manager in a large company, and hearing about his success made me realize how miserable I might have been if I had stayed at my previous job.
また、同窓ですでに年収1,000万円を超える人がいるとのこと。年収では、かなり頑張ってきたつもりだったけど、やはり上には上がいる。
He also shared that another high school friend is earning an annual salary of 10 million yen. I’ve been putting effort into increasing my income, but it’s a reminder that there’s always someone who’s doing better.
ま、でも決して低い方ではないし、自分でも満足しているので、そこはよかった。
I have no complaints about my current salary; it’s not bad at all.
気心知れた人との会合は、またこれでおもしろい。彼は、数年は盛岡にいるようなので、リベシティと２つの楽しみができた。
Meeting up with my close friends is always enjoyable, and as he mentioned that he’ll be staying in Morioka for a few more years, I’m looking forward to having a good time with him while also visiting the Liberal Arts City Morioka Office.
