今日は、わたしが担当しているPJに関して、先日惹起したイヌワシの調査に関して、本社のアジア統括部長に説明した。
Today, I discussed the Golden Eagles concern related to my project with the head of the APAC department at HQ.
まず、自己評価としては50点といったところ。抱える問題の事情を説明をすることはできた。しかし、質疑応答にはあまりうまく答えられず、結果してOKを引き出すことができなかった。
In my self-review, I would rate my explanation at around 50 out of 100. I was able to outline the problem and describe our current circumstances. However, I struggled with his questions and providing satisfactory answers.
何を聞かれるかわからない中で、かつ英語で答えなければならないのが大変。
Handling his questions in English was particularly challenging as I sometimes had difficulty understanding what he was asking.
今回は、初めてということで、とくに叱責はなかったものの、次回以降は入念に準備が必要である。
This was my first time reporting topics to the head, and I couldn’t secure his approval or that of my country manager. To be better prepared for the next meeting, I need to gather more evidence and improve my answers.
会社として求められていることにこたえることが重要だが、それ以前にPMとしてできることをやりたい。
While meeting the company’s expectations is crucial, it’s also important to focus on executing my tasks effectively as a project manager beforehand.
