今日は敬老の日で休みである。
It was a national holiday for Elderly Day.
昨日と同じく、まずは路面電車に乗ってきた。今日は終点まで行かずに途中で折返し。
Just like yesterday, I rode the tram with my son. However, this time, we got off halfway instead of riding through to the tram terminal, unlike yesterday.
その後は、駅で電車を見てきた。これまでの経験をもとに、長男が大好きな貨物電車が来る時間を狙ってやってきた。たくさんの貨物列車が来てくれたものの、想定した時間には来ず、祭日であるせいなのか、よく理由がわからない。
After returning to the station, we watched the trains at the platform as usual. Based on our previous experience, I tried to time it so my son could see the freight trains he loves. Many freight trains passed by, but their timing was different from what I had expected. It could be due to the holiday timetable or other reasons; I’m not sure.
時刻表を見るも、旅客用のとは全く読み方が違うので、全く内容がわからない。ちょっとあとで、調べる必要がある。
Even though I had checked the freight train timetable, I couldn’t understand it because it was quite different from the passenger train timetable. I need to study how to read it properly.
その後は、駅で妻と集合して、ランチをして帰った。３連休らしい休日になった。
After spending two hours at the platform, the limit of our entry ticket, we met up with my wife at the station and had lunch at a restaurant in the station building before heading back home. It was a lovely holiday.
