朝一に長男が通う予定の幼稚園へ願書提出。
I submitted my son’s kindergarten application early in the morning.
願書配りは無制限だったけど、受付は店員分しかやらないので、並んで提出してきた。
While they had initially distributed applications to parents who requested them, they could only accept applications up to the number of available spots, so I had to wait in line this time.
小雨がぱらつく中行ってみると、並ぶ場所は屋根があるところだったので、助かった。１番に着いて、ずっとPCで作業できた。台風が接近していながらも、終始小雨でギリギリ天気はもった形となった。
I arrived at the kindergarten on a rainy day, but fortunately, they had set up a covered waiting area, allowing me to secure the first spot in line. I used my PC while waiting. Despite the approaching typhoon, the rain was relatively light during this time.
ただ、今日は出張日。予定では夕方が一番ピークになるとのこと。帰りの新幹線が止まると帰宅難民になってしまうので、中止にした。
However, I had a business trip scheduled for today, and the weather forecast predicted the heaviest rain in the evening. To avoid potential travel disruptions, such as train delays or cancellations, I decided to cancel the trip.
今日のタスクは、台風の中やることでもないし、むしろ晴れているほうが作業がしやすいので、中止の決断も大事である。
The tasks I had planned for the trip didn’t require tackling a typhoon, and a sunny day would likely be more productive. Therefore, the decision to cancel the trip seemed necessary.
