昨日は、会社を休んで来年から長男が通う予定の幼稚園に行って入園願書をもらってきた。
I took a day off yesterday to obtain an application for my son’s kindergarten admission.
願書は希望者の分だけ配っているので、とくに並ぶ必要はなかった。それでも、事前にそこまでの説明はなかったので、今日は休みをとった。
Fortunately, they had distributed the application to parents who wished to enroll their children, so I didn’t have to wait in line to get it. However, they hadn’t informed us about their specific rules, and some kindergartens had limitations on the number of applications they were giving out.
なので、もらってすぐに入園願書に必要事項を記入。申請に当たって幼稚園までの地図を描かなければならず、なかなか面倒な書類である。
Once I got home, I filled out the application. It had some intricate questions, like drawing maps from my home to the kindergarten.
とはいえ、進学を目指している幼稚園ではないので、まだこれは優しい方なのだろうと思う。
Nevertheless, I assume that their application process is relatively easier compared to preparatory schools.
サクッと書類作成を終わらせ、せっかく休みを取ったので、長男といっしょに電車を見に行ってきた。
After finishing the application, I headed to the train station with my son because I had taken the day off, and we watched the trains together.
