出張のあと、いつも通りにリベシティ仙台オフィスに行ってきた。
As usual, I made a stop at the Liberal Arts City Sendai Office on my way home.
翌日の仙台でのオフ会参加のため、今晩はホテルに宿泊である。往復の新幹線より安く泊まれるホテルを見つけられてよかった。
I had planned to attend a meet-up held in this city, so I booked a hotel near the train station. I was pleased to find a hotel that offered better value for money compared to the cost of round-trip train tickets from my hometown.
出張の荷物を全部ホテルに置いて、身軽になってのオフィス訪問。いつものメンバーが集まっての談笑をしていたので、それに混ざってお話。途中から、先日の転職オフ会の話になり、余分に印刷してきた資料を使ってのプチオフ会になった。
I left all my work-related belongings in my hotel room and headed to the Office. When I arrived, the regular members were engaged in a conversation, and I joined in. After catching up with each other, we discussed the job change meet-up that I had hosted two days ago. Since I had extra materials from the presentation, I took the opportunity to share my thoughts on job changes once again, much like during the previous meet-up.
その後は、近しいメンバー４人で晩ご飯を食べてきた。そこで少し費用を多めに出すように提案したが、断れてしまった。
Following our discussion, we left the office to have dinner. I suggested covering a bit more of the expenses, but the bill was settled without my contribution.
決してお金持ちアピールをするつもりではなかったものの、結果してそうなってしまい、とても恥ずかしい。次回からは絶対にしないようにする。
Please understand that my intention wasn’t to flaunt a lavish lifestyle; it was a result of my suggestion. I felt quite embarrassed by the situation, and I assure you that I won’t make such offers again in the future.
