今日は初めての自分で開催するオフ会である。
I hosted my very first meet-up today, focusing on changing jobs.
転職相談は、１名が家族の体調不良によりリモートでの参加になった。オフィスでリモートができるか不安であったが、結果は参加者以外誰もいなかったので問題なし。
It was a unique experience as one of the attendees had to participate remotely due to illness. Although I wasn’t sure if I could successfully conduct the meet-up via the internet until I arrived at the Liberal Arts City Office, it turned out to be no problem, especially since no one was physically present when I arrived.
ゆっくりオフ会を開催できた。また、発表資料を作っておいてよかった。みなさんメモを取りながら聞いてくれたので、こちらとしても作ったかいがある。
I conducted the meet-up with a sense of relaxation and was pleased that I had prepared a presentation for the event. It proved worthwhile because all the attendees found it valuable enough to take notes.
その後は、焼き肉屋で冷麺を食べながらのお食事会である。お酒は飲まずの食事会でとても楽しかった。
Following the meet-up, I organized a dinner at a BBQ restaurant near the Office. We enjoyed delicious meat and chilled noodles without alcohol.
食事会のメンバーはオフ会のそれとは異なり、また新しい話で盛り上がった。参加者の１人でエジプトが好きな人がいて、まさか、リベシティでエジプトの話で盛り上がれるなんて思わなかった。この出会いに感謝。
The attendees at the dinner were different from those who attended the job change meet-up, so it was an opportunity for fresh conversations. One of the dinner attendees had a strong interest in Egypt, and our discussion about Egypt was incredibly exciting. I hadn’t expected to have such a conversation with members of the Liberal Arts City, so I was genuinely delighted by the experience.
