今日から金曜日まで出張である。
I’m currently on a business trip until this Friday.
今回は、お盆ということもあり、レンタカーがいつも利用する駅で空いてなかったので、少し遠くからの現地入りである。
During the Obon period, I wasn’t able to secure a rental car at my usual rental station. As a result, I made a reservation at a station one stop away from my usual pickup point for my site visits.
とはいえ、サイトがある都市までは高速道路を使えば時間的には変わらないので、今後の利用可能性を探るいい機会である。実際、そこまで遠くはないし、新幹線もこちらの駅のほうが本数が多いので、利便性は悪くない。
Although this station is farther from my destination, it doesn’t make a significant difference in terms of travel time when using the expressway. This situation presented a valuable opportunity to assess the convenience of the alternate station. As it turns out, more Shinkansen trains depart and arrive at this station, and the time difference in reaching the site is not significant. Hence, this station seems to be a better choice for me.
さて、出張の成果といえば、こちらも今日は順調であった。まず、いつもの道の駅で昼食をとった際、店員さんとお話をして地元の区長さんの氏名を教えてもらった。そして、区長さん家にアタックしてみた。
By the way, the results of the first day of the business trip were quite positive. We stopped by a roadside station where we’ve been a few times for lunch and asked the clerks for information about the leaders of the districts. Subsequently, we visited their houses based on the addresses we received.
結果は不在であったが、次につながるいいトライであった。その後に訪れた市役所でも、これまでわかってなかった場所の地番がわかり、地権者を調べるための足掛かりになった。
Although the leader was not at home during our visit, it was a worthwhile endeavor. Following that, we went to the city office and obtained an address we were unsure about prior to the business trip. This marks the first step in our efforts to identify the landowners.
