You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I recently reached out to my former assistant from my previous company, whom I hadn’t contacted in a while. I wanted to alleviate the stress I’m feeling at my current workplace, where I’m struggling to connect with my new colleagues.
Given our strong understanding and history of getting along, we’ve been maintaining regular communication even after moving to different companies.
By confiding in her about my challenges with my current colleagues, I was able to release some of the tension and feel better. Interestingly, she mentioned that she’s already considering another job change despite recently switching roles herself.
Unfortunately, due to leaving my previous job within a year, I’m unable to pursue a new job right now. I’m committed to staying at my current company for at least two years, as advised by my recruitment consultant.
Once that milestone is reached, I’ll reevaluate my options. Depending on my efforts with my side hustles, I might continue as an office worker or explore the possibility of freelancing.
To be continued.
