昨日、薬を飲んでずっと寝ていたおかげで熱は下がったが、咳と鼻詰まりがまだ残っている。
Thanks to the prescribed medicine and a full day of rest yesterday, my fever has subsided. I now only have a cough and a stuffy nose.
とはいえ、仕事はできそうだったので、リモートワークにさせてもらい、かつ１時間早引けさせてもらうことでなんとか今日の仕事はやりきった。
I requested my boss to allow me to work from home today and use the flexible working hours system to leave work one hour earlier since I was feeling better. This decision enabled me to work today.
仕事のために、一旦自宅へ帰ったものの、その後はまたわたしだけ実家に戻って休んだ。

というのも、自宅では長男が夜遅くまで騒いでいるので、ゆっくり休めないからである。

早く風邪を治すためにも、寝る時間をしっかり確保するのが重要なので、やむを得ない。
I understand that getting sufficient sleep is crucial for recovering from a cold, but the situation can’t be helped.
