Watching Shinkansen at My Station

You can hear the voice recording for the diary.

Today was a complete contrast to yesterday as it rained all day. Despite the weather, I took my son to the train station to watch trains.

Since I have a commuter pass, I didn’t need to purchase a ticket to access the platform. I personally enjoy observing trains from the platform rather than actually boarding them. However, due to the Golden Week holiday, the trains were crowded, and it was difficult to find a space.

I initially thought that only outbound lines would be crowded, but to my surprise, even the inbound lines were packed. Some passengers had to stand on the deck due to the lack of space inside the train. Realizing that it would be challenging to board the train, we decided to stay on the platform and continue watching from there.

I made a promise to my son that we would go to Tokyo Station next time and board the trains there to watch them. We are both excited and eagerly looking forward to that experience.

To be continued.
