今日は今月より新しく入ったわたしと社長のために、電気担当から発電機について１時間のレクチャーをしてもらった。
Today, my senior colleague conducted a one-hour study session on generators for me and our new president, who joined the company this month.
わたしも社長もこの業界は初めてなので、もう少し優しめなものと思っていたが、なんてことはない。ガッツリ１時間を使って詳しく説明をしてもらった。
Since both of us are new to the industry, we expected the session to cover the basics. However, it turned out to be more in-depth than anticipated, with detailed explanations of specifications from start to finish.
先月から勉強しておいてマジでよかったと思った。でなければ、全くついて行けなかった。今日ほど過去の勉強に助けられたことはない。
I would have regretted not studying beforehand, as I wouldn’t have been able to follow today’s session otherwise. It was a fortunate circumstance that I had prepared in advance.
今後も勉強を継続していきたいと改めて感じた。
This experience made me realize the importance of continuous learning.
また、勉強した内容が実際の業務に活かせるのを感じ、勉強が楽しいとさえ思った。これまで、この分野に関して何度も勉強の挑戦と挫折を経験してきたが、今度こそは続けられそうである。
Surprisingly, I found myself enjoying the process of learning about electricity and applying that knowledge to my main job. Despite having attempted and abandoned the subject several times in the past, I feel motivated to continue studying this time.
