今日から新しい会社での仕事である。
Today marked the first day of my third job position.
貸与されたPCのセッティングが完了しておらず、結局１日がかりでも完全にできないなど問題もあったものの、とりあえず１日目が終了。
However, I encountered a problem throughout the day as the setup for my PC had not been completed. Despite my efforts, I was unable to resolve the issue.
それもそのはずで、PCの管理からセットアップまで本国でやっているので仕方ない。そのせいで、キーボードがUS配列だったり、インストールできるソフトウェアに制限があったりと、若干やりにくい感は否めない。なにか抜け道がないか、探っていきたい。
It is customary for all employee PCs to be managed at the headquarters in our home country. As a result, the keyboard layout is in US format, and the availability of installable software is limited. It’s undeniable that I feel somewhat uncomfortable with this arrangement. I will explore any possible workarounds to improve my experience.
また、挨拶に始まり、部長との打合せも英語だったりと、さすがは外資系だといえる。
The company introduction and meeting with my new boss, who is currently on a business trip to the headquarters, were conducted in English. This branch office operates within the realm of international affairs.
明日からの仕事が不安とワクワクの半々である。
I’m currently experiencing a mix of excitement and worry about the work ahead.
