My family and I visited a park near our apartment to admire the cherry blossoms.
Despite it being a weekday, there were food stands and a sizable crowd enjoying the beautiful sight. This was likely due to the relaxation of restrictions on going out.
Luckily, we found a spot in the shade of the trees where we could sit and relax. We had brought lunchboxes with us, which we enjoyed on our picnic blanket.
The warm weather made the experience even more pleasant, and I didn’t feel the usual chill associated with flower viewing. Surprisingly, there were many young people who seemed to be enjoying themselves. When I was their age, I couldn’t understand the appeal of cherry blossom viewing in cold weather.
However, now that I have a family of my own, I can appreciate their perspective. Witnessing the cherry blossoms was actually quite enjoyable. This outing on a holiday helped me recharge and prepare myself for my upcoming job, which starts in April. I am fully committed to my new role.
To be continued.
