You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
Yesterday, I had the opportunity to ride a train from Tokyo to a factory that will be decommissioned today.
Initially, I was unsure if I would be able to secure a ticket, but fortunately, I managed to purchase one two days prior to the departure. I was thrilled to have the chance to ride on this particular train.
Before boarding, I had assumed that most of the passengers would be train enthusiasts like myself, but I soon realized that there were also tourists among them. However, the person sitting next to me was indeed a train enthusiast. He enthusiastically captured numerous photos of the train and the scenery along the way.
Despite the train’s age, as it was built during the bubble economy, the seats were surprisingly comfortable.
Riding on a train that would soon be decommissioned was a truly memorable experience for me. It was a unique way to spend both my time and money.
To be continued.
