You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
After having drinks with my coworker last night, the main highlight of the business trip was riding a sleeper train.
The train was scheduled to depart from Osaka Station at 0:30, giving me a two-hour window after arriving at the station. However, time passed quickly as I searched for a late-night takoyaki shop and enjoyed some delicious snacks.
Feeling tired from walking around the station and the effects of alcohol, I dozed off as soon as I boarded the train. I had planned to stay awake until around 2 am, but I couldn’t manage to do so.
The benefit of falling asleep early was that I woke up at 5:30 this morning and had the opportunity to enjoy the train views for a delightful 90 minutes until reaching Tokyo Terminal. I particularly enjoyed the view from the sleeper train because I can eliminate window reflections by turning off the lights in the room.
I’m happy to have experienced the sleeper train, and I hope to have more opportunities to ride it before it is decommissioned.
To be continued.
