今日は祭日で、妻が人間ドックに行くので、その間は長男と２人である。
It was a national holiday, and my wife had a comprehensive medical examination. I accompanied my son while she had her examination.
残念ながら、天気が悪く、公園に行けなかったので、駅で入場券を買ってホームで電車を見てきた。
Unfortunately, it rained all day, so we couldn’t go to the park as planned. Instead, we went to the nearest train station and watched trains from the platform.
終始、気温が低かったので、電車を待っている間は自販機で温かい飲み物を買ったり、電車がこない時間帯は待合室に入って暖をとったりして過ごした。
Despite it being mid-March, the weather was cold due to the bad conditions. To warm ourselves up, we bought some beverages from a vending machine and found shelter in the waiting area.
また、長男のお出かけセットを持っていくのを忘れてしまい、万が一の粗相があった時にどうしようかと思っていたが、何事もなくてよかった。
In the midst of everything, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my son’s bag, which contained his diapers, clothes, and other essentials. I was worried about how we would handle diaper changes, but fortunately, we didn’t encounter any issues in that regard.
入場券の上限である２時間しっかり電車を見た後は、駅に併設されたスーパーに寄って、長男のお昼ご飯を買って家に帰った。
After spending about two hours watching trains, which is the time limit for the platform ticket, we headed to the adjacent supermarket in the station to pick up lunch for my son.
