You can hear the voice recording for the diary.
I initially thought that this upcoming business trip would be my final one at my current company. However, I was unexpectedly asked to go on the next trip in order to hand over my work to my successor.
When I was initially assigned to the project, there was no work handover from my predecessor, and I was informed that this was a cultural norm within the company. Given this context, it’s puzzling to me why I am now being asked to conduct a handover. Nevertheless, I decided to accept the request.
From my perspective, it’s only logical to pass on my work to the next person and ensure a smooth transition. I want to avoid any complaints or issues arising after I leave the company.
As a result, I made the decision to go on the next trip, considering it as my last one. While preparing for the trip, I searched for a sleeper train ticket for the journey back home and fortunately found an available one, which I promptly purchased.
I feel fortunate that I’ll have the opportunity to ride the train again after a year. I’m eagerly looking forward to this final business trip.
To be continued.
