今日はいよいよ最終面接の日である。
Today was the day of the final job interview round for the position I’ve been applying for.
昨年末から始まった同社の面接も、ついに今日が最後である。
This round marked the culmination of the interview process that began at the end of last year, determining whether I would move forward or not.
しかも、外国人との面接ということで、とても緊張した。というか、おそらく、今までで一番テンパった面接になったと思う。
I felt an overwhelming sense of nervousness, especially because the interviewer was a German engineer. This was by far the most nerve-wracking interview I have ever experienced.
途中、なにを話していいのかわからなくなったり、これまで同様に頭が真っ白になってしまう場面があった。一番初めに面接をした日本支社長がいっしょに参加してくれ、彼のサポートがあってなんとかこなせたものの、今回も満足のいく結果ではなかった。
As the interview progressed, I found myself struggling to understand how to answer his questions, and my mind went blank, similar to my previous interviews. Thankfully, I received assistance from another interviewer who was present in the first round and the representative director of the Japanese branch. With their guidance, I managed to respond to all of the questions, but I couldn’t help but feel unsatisfied with the outcome.
やはり場数が足りないのか、どうしても日本語の面接と比べるといいたいことがうまく伝えられない。
Perhaps my lack of experience in conducting interviews in English is hindering my ability to effectively articulate my opinions compared to interviews conducted in Japanese.
