今日は自宅での作業で、朝起きて外を見るとガッツリ雪が降っていた。
As I returned home last night, I decided to work from home today. To my surprise, I woke up to a snowy morning.
昨夜、せっかく自宅に戻ってきて、今日はサウナに行けると思っていたのに残念である。
I had been looking forward to visiting the sauna today, so I was a bit disappointed.
しかし、雨ならともかく雪なら問題ないのではと思い直した。そして、そのまま昼休みに行ってきた。
Although I would prefer not to go to the sauna on a rainy day, I thought that snowy weather wouldn’t be a major issue. During my lunch break, I made my way to the sauna.
寒いこともあって、サウナの中はいつも以上に混んでいた。一方で、露天風呂のスペースはほぼ貸し切り状態であった。
Due to the colder weather, there were more customers than usual at the sauna. However, I noticed that the open-air bath area was empty.
雪が降る中での外気浴。雨の場合、雨粒が体に当たって痛いので、雨は好きではないが、雪ならその心配はない。ただ、雪が体に付着するたびに冷たさを感じた。そして、寝そべりながら、子供のころに雪の露天風呂の周りを走り回ったことを思い出した。
I decided to lie down outside while it was snowing. Unlike the previous experience of lying down in the rain, I didn’t have to deal with the discomfort of raindrops hitting my body. Instead, I felt the coldness as the snowflakes landed on me. This sensation reminded me of my past winter vacations, where I would run around in the open-air bath while it snowed. Overall, despite the slight disappointment and the coldness of the snow, my visit to the sauna was still enjoyable.
