現場で仕事をする先輩とすき焼きを食べに行った。
I had the opportunity to enjoy Sukiyaki with my senior colleague from the site office. Sukiyaki is a traditional Japanese dish consisting of beef, vegetables, and tofu simmered in a sweet sauce.
訪れたお店は、予約しないと入れない場所で、とても高級感が溢れる料亭といった感じ。今日は平日ということもあり、他のお客が居なくて貸し切りであった。
We went to a fantastic restaurant that required reservations, and since it was a weekday, we were the only guests.
久しぶりに食べるすき焼きは最高である。そもそも、我が家では両親があまり好きではないので、家で食べることはほとんどなかったが、日本のごちそうといわれるだけあって旨かった。
It was a delightful experience savoring the Sukiyaki, especially because it had been a while since I last had it. My parents are not fans of Sukiyaki, so I rarely get the chance to eat it. However, as Sukiyaki is a traditional Japanese meal, I have always enjoyed it.
もちろん、お店の雰囲気や素材そのものがよかったということもある。
The ambiance of the restaurant and the quality of the ingredients further enhanced the experience.
大満足である一方で、こんなレストランに連れていってくれた先輩に、なにをお返しすべきか迷っている自分がいる。
However, I now face the dilemma of finding a way to treat my colleague in return since he treated me to such a nice dining experience.
