転職エージェントから今エントリーしている会社の状況の連絡があった。どうやら、わたしの他にもう１名エントリーしている人がいて、その人とどちらにするかを検討しているとのこと。
I received an update from my recruitment consultant regarding the progress of the interview process for the position I applied for. According to him, the decision is still pending as there is another candidate being interviewed for the same position.
思った通り、前回の報告は、決していいものではなかった。まだまだ油断はできないし、それに仮に通ったとしてもやはり本国のエンジニアとの英語での最終面接が存在することがわかった。
As I had anticipated from the previous update I received last week, the news is not particularly positive. I cannot afford to be complacent yet, as one of us will proceed to the final round of interviews with the engineer from the headquarters in Germany.
なので、今度の週末は、その練習に費やすことを決めた。面接の結果はどうであれ、英語での練習は無駄にはならないので、しっかり準備したい。
With that in mind, I will dedicate this weekend to practicing for the final interview, regardless of the outcome. Engaging in English interview practice will undoubtedly benefit me in the future.
また、面接の練習だけでなく、最近ご無沙汰になっている散歩でのシャドーイングも再開する。
To supplement my preparation, I will resume shadowing English videos on YouTube while taking walks.
この英語日記でライティングスキルの向上は実感しているので、併せてスピーキングも伸ばしていきたい。
Additionally, I have noticed significant improvement in my English writing skills through maintaining this English diary, and I aspire to enhance my speaking abilities as well.
