寒波のピークを迎え、自宅の周りでも降雪が見られた。というか吹雪いていた。ただそれも午前中だけで、午後には晴れ間が出てきた。
Even though it snowed and there were occasional snowstorms in the morning due to the extreme cold weather, it cleared up in the afternoon.
それでも風が強くて、寒い１日であった。晩御飯の時に見たテレビのニュースでは、これまでで最も強い寒波だと言っていたが、妻はそれは違うのではという。
During my lunch break, I went outside and noticed that it was also quite windy. The TV show mentioned that this cold weather was the coldest ever, but my wife didn’t seem to agree.
妻の意見としては、子供のころの冬のほうがよっぽど寒く感じたと言っていて、たしかにわたしもそうだなと思う。
According to her, it was much colder when we were children. Looking back, I share the same opinion as her.
もっと寒い中を、よく学校まで歩いて通学していたなと思う。
I remember admiring myself as I walked to school in such frigid weather.
ま、いずれにしても、今は暑いよりも寒い方が集中できるので、大した問題ではない。
Regardless, I find that I can focus better on my work in cold weather compared to hot weather, so it’s not a major issue for me.
